Cross River State Internal Revenue Service
Born on the 31st of May, 1974, joined the Cross River Internal Revenue Service Management team as an Assistant Director in 2012. Before joining the Service, he has worked as Revenue Consultant to the Service from 2004 – 2012, where he made tremendous contributions to the State automation process as well as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) Growths.
In his over two (2) decades experience in tax environment, he has made significant reforms in Departments he headed such as; Ministerial Revenue (MDAs), Tax Audit and Investigation (Compliance Department), Personal Income Tax (PIT) and others.
He is a qualified National Accountant, Fellow Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (fcai). He also obtained an advanced certificate in Procurement Management from the University of Benin. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the then Polytechnic, Calabar now University of Cross River and a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Accounting.
He has headed many revenue reforms committees in his twenty-one (21) years tent in the Revenue House. Mr. Victor Akpa Okplewu is happily married to Mrs. Cynthia Ogbene Okplewu and their marriage is blessed with three (3) children; two (2) boys and a girl. He adopts football team approach in all his tax management and designs.
